I do not know enough facts, so just intuitively - it feels anything is better for Yahoo. To rock the boat. If it was destined to die, it will die anyway and the one with fireworks is better than quiet slow death. May be.
Now, from your perspective - if she was not a good candidate, who you'd think could be a better one (not that they would take the job..) but I am just curious.
